**ANNOUNCED** New Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman (SEAC)
General Joseph Dunford, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has named Army Command Sergeant Major John Troxell to serve as the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman. CSM Troxell, currently serving as the senior enlisted advisor at U.S. Forces Korea, will succeed Sgt. Maj. Bryan B. Battaglia, Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman, JCS who is scheduled to retire in December.

Why the gap in the duty assignment to the position, Apr 2008 to Sep 2011? The position was vacant that long?

CSM Charles Hayden, Navy Admiral Mike Mullen "did not need" a Senior Enlisted Advisor, and took his own individual ideas into the position......was a different tune when the Admiral went to the Sergeants Major Academy!

CSM John Wayne Troxell will make a difference. This really makes me proud having served with him at multiple duty positions and theaters of operation. I am very proud, this is really the right choice, we got it right!
