Michael Jordan has a heart of gold, forged from the numerous awards and championship trophies he won throughout the course of his legendary career.
His loving and caring nature allows him to step aside and show mercy on the Charlotte Hornets - the team he currently runs as part-owner and head of basketball operations.
Rather than have a 52-year-old man annihilate the players in games of 1-on-1, Jordan knows better than to "demolish their confidence," which he elaborated on during a recent interview with France's L'Equipe.
There's being confident, and then there's being "old man Jordan" confident.
His Airness isn't the only one who buys into his hype, though, with 34 percent of 1,471 registered voters in a recent poll believing Jordan could defeat Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James in 1-on-1 action ... today.

I deployed to Afghanistan in 2008-09 with Counter IED as a retiree recall. I was 44 years old. I am now 50 and play semipro football (Noseguard, Defensice tackle, offensive guard). I can run as fast as most men under 30. I can bench press 300 year round (sometimes more).
I can still do ANY soldier task as well as any 25 year old. I just wish they would let me go another retiree recall tour. I'm itching to go again!!!!

I've been a heavy wheel mechanic, recovery NCO, Motor SGT and now Maintenance Chief with over 16 years or troubleshooting and maintenance repair expertise. Not to mention all of the logistical and supervisory knowledge that I have gained from multiple units in multiple different countries. I will put my skills up against any young kid in my field any day.

Not a chance.
The field (intelligence) has changed dramatically over the last dozen years since I got out. The technical advances alone would put me at an insurmountable disadvantage. That said, I have a lot more knowledge at my disposal now than I did then, and from a "Total Marine" package, I'd be no slouch, but just in my specialty, you have to work it to know it, and I haven't worked it in far too long.

I've been in the Career Counselor field for four years and in this wonderful organization for 12 years. I can outperform the Soldiers in the 79S career field as I demonstrated in my back to back appearance at the Department of the Army Career Counselor of the Year board. In fact i was part of the elite 11 who competed at the DA Career Counselor of the Year board against all the ACOM's and ASCC's last week in the Washington D.C. area. I truly believe on the contrary of what the general populous may say "Michael Jordan is the best of all time! And if he played Lebron James....he would crush him!"

This would be an excellent time in putting RallyPoint into action. Let's set up all sorts of events and bring them to Asheville NC I would love to use my Running4Veterans Books4Veterans and any other one of my hobbies to fund such an event to help support causes and more so RallyPoint. Hey I'll even see if I could get Mr. Jordan and well beat him in His game lol just joking but on a serious note it would be lots of fun and well I would give all my fellow vet's a run for their best in any event that I enter. :) Very Nice Post Keep doing well and #PassItOn.

Like Michael, I think we all could hold our own the first day but where the issue would raise it's head and bite us is what happens 10 games into the season, not to mention 82 or the play off after?
I could still teach the young recruiters a thing or two but the second day pretending to be an infantryman again, I would need someone to help to get up off the ground.

Technical expertise, heck no. The area of IT that I currently work in has no real application in the Navy world. But from an experience/leadership point I can still teach these young bucks a few things.
