NCOIC AFSOC RPA Weather Operations
Supervised/managed 12 special operations (SOF) weather forecasters providing support to special operations air-frames and ground teams. Responsible for overseeing air space restrictions. Conducted multiple daily meteorological discussions with 18+ weather agencies via VOIP, IRC chat and VTC (video-telconferencing). Worked with WMO ( D.C.) to set volcanic ash thresholds in the AFRICOM/CENTCOM theaters of operation. Provided mission execution forecasts/briefings to theater commanders, pilots, and SOF mission crews/planners. Reviewed and set air-frame weather sensitivity standards for US Air Force Remotely Piloted Aircraft airframe.
