SrA Edward Vong - Exactly so. I merely used him as a historical example since he could be clearly placed with George Washington. His response to the campaign was one of "confusion" if I recall correctly ("why does it matter?" was the gist) much like general feel trying to find out his actual religious views.

In the early 19th century we went to war with the Barbary Pirates who were capturing European and American sailors and selling them as slaves to Muslim leaders around the Mediterranean.

who cares , its a religion, not RACE, what if I was a MUSLIM, would everyone here just stop responding to me ? What if I believed in a damn rock ? And I do believe that the fact that we've had Muslims here for a quite some time. One of my best friends is now a Veteran but he is Muslim and I respect him no matter what. He served with me in National Guard in Afghanistan.

The fact is that Muslims will fight just as hard or harder to insure freedom of the people they are defending than some other troops just there to do their duty. and I say some because most troops from all branches I have met are very nice people that fought hard but showed compassion to civilians! My daddy is a vet of the AF and hes nice until you do or say something that riles him up. He will help out those in need and defend those that need it. Oh and, my daddy is Christian, were one big happy, diverse, family!
