Hillaryclinton for president1
Do you think Hillary Clinton would make a good President, if you vote yes, why? Who do you think would be the best, front running candidate?

Abject failure as SECSTATE. Fired from Watergate investigation for unethical behavior. Shady dealings as a lawyer - Rose Law firm anyone? Insider trade scam for cattle futures. Carpet Bagger Senator who got elected because of her name and not her actual qualifications and experience. Then it was her campaign that started the whole birther business as part of the continual campaign dirty tricks the Clintons have used forever. ISIS happened because she and Joe Biden failed to negotiate a SOFA with Iraq. They lied that things weren't negotiable, everything is negotiable, it was a convenient out to get short term political gain now it has blown up and this administration and the folks who ran it have failed and she was a major player and at fault for a good portion of it. Don't believe what you see on TV go and do some in depth research. There are better Democrats out there and better Republicans then her. She also has a terrible memory, every time she is cornered under testimony she seems to "I do not recall". She is NOT presidential material and don't vote for her merely because the media is backing her and she happens to be a woman. Those are not valid qualifications. You better pick carefully because the world is stacking up for WWIII if we aren't careful and well led. If you don't believe that you better take some history and start learning starting with WW I.

Perhaps we could argue that while Obama 1 was mostly about color, that Obama 2 is a bit different. Mitt Romney hung himself on 2 counts. The first and most obvious was not going after Benghazi with more zeal. However even that may not have mattered. What hung Romney was his use of TWO WORDS ... Personal Responsibility. Apparently 50.1 % or more of voting Americans only seek maximum personal government cheese, and will vote for whomever is perceived to pass out the most cheese. These mice do not care about all of the issues some folks want to hang Hillary on. The simple majority have perhaps become the More Cheese Please folks. Perhaps all of them are less than "American" or that this very term has lost its meaning. I hope I am wrong, but I believe she has the BEST chance of winning this upcoming term, and I might go as far as to say it might become a miracle if Democrats ever lose again at all...not because of any merit, but simply because of what I've laid out above. Democrats may even have a higher breeding rate, which solidifies my longer-term stance.

That said, there are still the Real Power folks manipulating all of this. Romney was likely tipped to NOT pursue Benghazi, etc.

I have to say without any doubt or equivocation that she would be a horrible president. As a part of the presidential team in 2011; 10 years to the day from the original attacks as secretary of state she botched her job to ensure the protection of Embassy staff members by maintaining peaceful relations with Libya which resulted in the loss of 4 American lives. While I admit she was not solely responsible she was partially to blame.

As for the best front running candidate I would have to say my vote goes to Mickey Mouse, no wait, Goofy.

With real grass roots opposition, it won't be Hillary. All one has to do is read her college thesis to know that, she too, was one of the radical 60's hippies that idolized the weather underground and saul alinsky and cloward and piven.

Cpl (Join to see) Just as bad as Hillary, but just as bad, it still looks like the GOP is trying to throw the election. I mean, come on, there has to be more potential candidates than the three stooges I have been mentioned.

The problem I see, is the GOP is willing to throw an election rather than a conservative with a pair and a spine win, it ruins the left/right monopoly in Washington.

Cpl Kirk Sian "All they have to do is read..." is almost like saying "If people were law-abiding, we wouldn't need courts. What percentage of the "More Cheese Please" group are going to WANT to read any such thing? What percentage of them CAN read at all? That answer may not be at Zero, but it sure isn't at 100, either.

She has, and is, proving to be financially irresponsible. She has been proven time and again to be a thoroughly ineffective leader. If we have finally reached the age in this country where a woman takes the helm, there are certainly much better candidates to do so.

Actually Sgt S.P. Woodke and Lt Ahmed Faried, did you not hear Hillary stating that "We were flat broke when we left the White House"? If they couldn't manage their $200K a year budget once while in office, I wouldn't want to try it again a second time. And I wouldn't want/trust them to open the tax payer's check book to balance the budget.

The thing is in trying to curry favor with public opinion she made that statement. They are millionaires many times over. I don't know why she felt the need to say that. Being poor or rich won't change the opinions of those who hate or love her. Politicians have this clinical need to be loved and they sometimes say ridiculous things. Not unlike Jeb Bush putting himself as Hispanic on a voter registration form.

I think her poor performance as a Sec. of State only goes to prove she would be a terrible C & C. I think we all could come up with a long list of people better suited to be President, male and female.

Cpl Brett Wagner, that's a good and a scary question. I'm afraid we are slipping down a not-so-good slope, and eight years of President Hillary Clinton will take us further down the slope. The military will certainly be much weaker.

Answer : What and Who was America?
After Eight years of what we have now, we are going to be lucky if we are a notch or two above third world standards. These 8 and then 8 of Hillary, there will not be a recognizable America! And I don't want another Bush, if you're wondering!

Agreed, what we need is a true conservative who loves this country. Someone who is willing to make our military stronger and the rest of the government smaller. Let the states run the majority of the daily business and the fed takes care of the big stuff and that does not mean regulating everything in the country.

Honestly, it would depend on who takes Congress. The first two years of Obama's first term would have looked much different if his party didn't also have strong control of the legislative branch. Among many things, my health insurance would be much lower, because there is no way the ACA would have gotten through without said control. So, Hillary with a split or even non-democratic Congress, might not be so bad. If anything, it will prevent the federal government from swinging their big stick around trying to effect change.

The biggest effect I see would be to the Judicial branch. We have four justices over the age of 70; 2 of whom are fairly conservative, and two who are of a swing-like nature, though liberal leaning. As the President is a large factor in the choice, a two term President could effectively alter the make-up of our supreme court for decades to come.

PO2 Christopher Morehouse Speaking of Lincoln and signing statements - the Emancipation proclamation was quite a doozy. Not to mention that Lincoln actually suspended Habeas corpus. Saying that Obama is the "worst president ever" for these types of actions is ignoring a lot of history.

The man who drafted the Patriot Act, Jim Sensenbrenner, lamented that it was never meant to be used in the manner it has been used. Obama criticized President Bush for enacting it, and then took things to an entire new level where they were never intended. Par for the course. Abuse the public, blame it on Republicans, wash, rinse and repeat.

MAJ (Join to see) ... Lincoln did not make many friends when he shredded the Constitution and got us into the Civil War. Small wonder Obama likes to compare himself to Lincoln: both were relative unknowns, neither had much in the way of management skills or experience, as a lawyer Lincoln was viewed by his contemporaries as unremarkable, both are seen as shredding the Constitution and dictatorial in their style of leadership.

No different than it has ever been any other President. Presidents don't change the Military. If anything I have noticed that the Military Changes the President. All of them seem to stand a little straighter in our Presence and even those that never served learn how to render a somewhat decent Salute and I don't care how much they Condemn "Big Brother" before they get elected they fall in love with the NSA (Part of the DOD) once they are elected. No it won't make a Rats Ass worth of Difference when she is elected. The Far Right Will Paint her as a Communist or some other silliness and the Far Left will Paint her as a Corporate Tool and the truth will be somewhere in between. Being an Old School Compassionate Conservative (Moderate called a Left Winger these days) I will Probably Campaign for her.

Dr. Lawrence Britt has examined the fascist regimes of Hitler (Germany), Mussolini (Italy), Franco (Spain), Suharto (Indonesia) and several Latin American regimes. Britt found 14 defining characteristics common to each: 1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism - Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays. 2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights - Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc. 3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause - The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc. 4. Supremacy of the Military - Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized. 5. Rampant Sexism - The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Divorce, abortion and homosexuality are suppressed and the state is represented as the ultimate guardian of the family institution. 6. Controlled Mass Media - Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common. 7. Obsession with National Security - Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses. 8. Religion and Government are Intertwined - Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions. 9. Corporate Power is Protected - The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite. 10. Labor Power is Suppressed - Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed. 11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts - Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts and letters is openly attacked. 12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment - Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations. 13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption - Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders. 14. Fraudulent Elections - Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.

Actually if you look at Russia's current political climate, they are very conservative. Many businesses there push Russian Orthodox Christianity on their employees. Including one business that expects bible study from them. If you are of a different faith, such as jewish and choose not to participate, you'll be getting a pink slip. Actually Putin's Russia would be a conservative's dreamland.

SGT (Join to see) I would respectfully suggest that it is necessary to define the word "conservative" before one makes claims as to what is a "conservative's dreamland" (in Russia). There is nothing "Conservative" in the American Sense about forcing, or suppressing faith of any kind. American Conservatism has to do with wanting to preserve, or to "conserve" the principles upon which OUR country was founded. Namely, those ideas put forth in our Declaration of Independence, the Federalist/Anti-Federalist papers, our Constitution, and the works of our Framers and their contemporaries. So, when using the word "conservative" to describe the Russians, the term has little meaning, unless one takes the time to define what the Russians are trying to "conserve" or preserve.
Respectfully submitted.
