Sharon Danitschek That is a great question. First, you can look them up by name and rank here on RallyPoint, you can also look them up by units and maybe connect with others that might know where they are located. Connections and networking on multiple social media sites and groups could really brign some great results. Let's see what the TOP Influencers on RP have to say or recommend:

It'll sound silly, but FB is a strong option. Awesome Shit My Drill Sergeant Said, Army WTF Moments, The Salty Sailor, Doctrine Man, A Combat Veteran, and the like have massive followings who could push the pictout for you to an audience most wouldn't be able to touch in sheer speed and size. Even though it's FB, sometimes they have the ability to see past the BS and make things happen.

Sharon Danitschek, the website NavSource may not help with crew members, but does provide extensive information on USS LST 218, and also includes a few photos.

Sharon Danitschek, if the former service member is not Navy, TWS is still a good website to check, as it has specific sites for all the branches.

LTC Stephen C. - That is very true , in fact I'm on TWS Air Force and also TWS, Police and I have located people there i have served with and of course also made some new friends. Also some of the Facebook pages for different groups I have also had some contact with and once again found people I knew there. and had served with.

There are a ton of groups on Facebook that are based on branch or assignment. Look up by duty station, I.E. 1/65 Air Defense Artillery (ADA), etc.

Very true, in addition to My regular FB page I'm a member of other groups for Military units I had been assigned to or to other Military organizations I was a member of. Also each branch of the service has a Site, Together We served, I'm on Air Force Together We served.
