SrA David Steyer It looks like they have a great program to help Veterans.

I applied a few weeks ago and it's still pending. Was told the decision was made at a higher level, not a store level. Would be great because there is one less than a mile from my house and I'd be willing to walk!

SrA David Steyer FYI, A Silver Star was awarded John Walton, Son of Walmart's founder Sam Walton, for his service as a SF Medic in Vietnam.
'SOG', a book by MAJ Gary Plaster on SF's cross border operations in Laos and Cambodia mentions John Walton's service as a medic.

Heard back today, looks they have two paths:
Find a Job: approximately a 30-business day process for part time placement.
Find a Career: offers overwhelmingly full time opportunities BUT the process can take up to three months or more, depending on two distinct factors:
How high up the chain you want to connect with Walmart; and
Competition from both your fellow highly-qualified veterans, and internal Walmart candidates
This is quoted from the email I got.

Have you had someone look over your resume recently? There are many organizations that will review and help you make your resume better. Have you reached out to any of the Vets here asking for help. Try networking with people who work for WM / SC via LinkedIn and this site. It could help you get your foot in the door.
I am by no means an expert with resumes, but I would be willing to see what I could do to help.
