NASA is a proud boomer that loves posting a good photo album. The space agency released 100 of its best 2023 photos on flickr, which go through the exciting highlights of the previous year.
From asteroid samples landing on Earth to selecting the first crew of astronauts to go to the Moon since Apollo, this album has got it all (and maybe a little bit more than it should). These images were all taken in 2023, and also selected by, NASA’s HQ photo team. Gizmodo picked the best of the best photos to help you relive some amazing moments in spaceflight.

I didn't realize they still have the Soyuz spacecraft going on.
A pin I got from the Stafford Air&Space Museum a few weeks ago showed the joining of Apollo and Soyuz when Tom Stafford reached across his module and shook hands with Russia's cosmonaut; something many people considered the beginning of the end of the Cold War. According to others at Tom's funeral those two became lifelong friends afterwards, and Tom was the only American invited to his funeral a few years before. Cool to see where that led (pic of our astronaut in the same capsule as that cosmonaut).

I thought it would b more from outer space, the natural bridge in the pic from Russia doesn't look like it will be a bridge for long.
