I enlisted into the army 27 Jan 2004, basically I signed the contract on that date. I had a report date to Korea to the reception battalion there March 19, 2004. Which date do I use to figure out my 20 years of service?

What is your BASD? BASD + 20 = retirement date. Your BASD is on your SRB

SFC (Join to see) - would you mind if I shot you an email with some questions? I'm over 20 years, but I'm on a Reserve base on AC/RC special assignment, so there's a few questions I have that are drawing blank stares from the Retirement people and Career counselors here... They're used to dealing with TPU...

SFC (Join to see) I appreciate it. I'll bug you after the holidays, I know it's bad form to bug people right before the 4 days ;)

Thanks for all the answers. There was a one month and several day gap that wasn't accounted for. I knew that, but my archived LES history solved that showing the missing month! So that accounts for my missing month that I knew I was missing. I didn't have to do Basic Training since I was prior service. But I didn't have any documents showing that I was at the reception battalion for about 1 month before shipping off. Like I said above, the LES history archive showed the missing month, and good to go!
