Thank YOU, LORD for blessing each of us with discernment to help our own children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews to learn. ‘Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.’ [Proverbs 22:6 ESV]
I pray for an increase in transparency, humility, compassion, faithfulness, and self-control for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer or listens to it dear LORD. Empower and motivate us to be transparent to those who rely on us, especially the young. I pray that we share what we have learned to edify the young – both successes and failures. ‘Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Outdo ourselves in honoring one another. … Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, persistent in prayer. Share with the saints who are in need. Practice hospitality.’ [Romans 12:10, 12-13 ESV]
I lift the timid, the abused, the fearful, and the indecisive to YOU LORD. I pray that YOU bless each with a large measure of hope and endurance to persevere though these challenging times. Thank you, LORD for sanctification. Although it is painful at times, we know that YOU are pruning us as a gardener prunes trees to make us healthier and more fruitful. Hopefully our physical stamina is proportional to the spiritual stamina the Holy Spirit blesses us with as YOU sanctify our soul. ‘we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. I lift trustworthy, honest, and forthright government, military, business, & industry leaders, administrators and managers to YOU LORD. Lt Col Charlie Brown - That quote was a bit of a shock LOL - I have a wonderful little OLD daily devotional book I'm reading - (every night) - and lately they've been pushing the reader to ASK! Sometimes, we get thinking (I was taught as a child) that you ask once and leave it in His Hands - this little book says that's incorrect - keep asking until you receive - because you WILL receive - in His time. :-) <3
