A tribute of sorts to the airwar over Vietnam. Footage owned by the US National Archives, music is by Ten Years After.
Thank you my space-exploration advocate friend Sgt (Join to see) for posting the video of MARS Ingenuity Helicopter Ready for Second Flight on Mars

LTC Stephen F. In a major offensive in VN was the first time I even knew Puff existed, except as a mystical character. I was the lead chopper going into a ragingly wicked LZ and with my hands glued to my M-60 taking out anything and everything in sight that even twitched, my eyes were suddenly blanketed with red and I thought I was shot in the face, but the red wasn't blood, it was Puff and the most incredible display of air firepower I had ever seen where every 5th round from her guns was a tracer, but those rounds came out as a blanket of red. Later I was told that at a speed of 100 mph a round hit the ground every 1 inch. An experience I will never ever forget as it became engrained in my mind forever. I do not know how many choppers or Crewmen we lost that day but I know it was fractionalized because of Puff the Magic Dragon (the REAL ONE).

LTC Stephen F. - An experience I also had more than once but viewed the AC 47 gunship from the ground on the base perimeter when Da Nang Air Base Vietnam was under attack during my time there in 1968-69. It was very effective ! The original "Puff" or "Spooky " as those in the 9th Special Operations Squadron at Da Nang were called. Shown here is a photo I took in 1968 of an AC47 Gunship.
