How about we rename them after our contemporary heroes--Camp Kaepernick or Post Pelosi. There are several military installations in the NYC area. We could honor a number of Kardashians there. Instead of Camp Hunter-Liggett in California, we could call it Camp Hunter-Biden. Wait! Wait! How about we follow the lead of the NFL and seek out corporate sponsors. Camp Citibank would be a good start. At least it would save DoD dollars for beans, bullets and bombs as opposed to new signage and letterhead. Let the corporations pay for it.
Rename Fort Benning, home of the Infantry Center and School, Fort Fonda. After all, all of us Vietnam vets need to "get over it." This is exactly the point that those favoring this lunacy is, of course. I understand their perspective but there is much in our National past that is regrettable. We need to shift our focus on today and beyond. This is not just about installations but about ships, boats, etc, all the way down to street names. This is one expensive, divisive and distracting initiative that needs to be squashed by someone with enough authority and common sense to redirect these would-be millions of dollars in expenditures into areas of much greater need such as beans, bullets and bombs. We have some real enemies out there. Do you think the Chinese, Russians, Iranians, etc., are wasting resources on projects like this. It's a fool's errand.

Truthfully, I suggest renaming in honor of Medal of Honor awardees.

I agree with MOH winners. Have the valor reviewed and choose the most valiant. All ng the winner with the instillation. Tanker for Fort Carson. Helicopter pilot for Rutger, Fort Jackson for a Chaplain MOH winner etc. You could honor their warrior spirit not the person per say..

If I lived near a major installation I'd be trying to steal street signs before they got changed.

So you are saying that you are a their? Is that the point you are trying to get across to others on this board.

The leftist agenda knows no bounds. They will continue to march across our Republic as long as "We The People" let them.
