My friend SSG(P) (Join to see) by the way I was an enlisted combat engineer from 1975 to 1976 until I was accepted to a be a USMA cadet in July, 1976 after being nominated by the local Congressional representative from my parents district in Upper Darby, PA.

We tankers slept in tanks or on top. The tank is like our mini ship to us. It’s our shelter and also also a war machine. We took care of her which realized into she took care of us.
I believe our tankers should go into the flat desert to work on maintaining formations and other tasks. There are so many tasks like going in the offense and defense. In the flat desert you can see everything.
