I was a twenty year old Basic Training recruit with a few weeks to go. My grandmother sent me the headlines, otherwise, I would not have known a thing. We never had any news while I was in BCT. Maj William W. 'Bill' Price

SGT (Join to see) I was finishing my sophomore year at Texas A&M. Having spent time in Hawaii before that, volcanoes were something that I followed with interest. The devastation was mind-bending, but so was the recovery.
