LTC Tom Jones George Patton: Soldier and a student of history.

I love him because he was brilliant, innovative, and won all his battles. He takes his command of all US Forces in N Africa. Something like 10 days later he would fight a large German armor formation consisting of over 50 tanks at the battle of El Guettar.. He won without using tanks and that that was the first battle the US won at N Africa. The American Army did not execute well prior to Patton.

I feel like writing; thus, I will expound more on Patton. He conducted an amphibious landing on the island of Sicily and conducted another one in the hope to flank the German Army. Montgomery's and Patton's were in hot pursuit of the Germans who were fleeing without any recourse. Thes fled to a particular the port Messina as quickly as possible and were ultimately successful in escaping.
