In the past couple years a new trend has emerged, e-cigarettes. I personally refer to this as Vaping because I like to distance myself from smoking. I used Vaping as a way to quit smoking and now it is kind of fun finding new flavor and such. Personally I switched because it keeps me from smelling like smoke, causes no secondhand smoke and has even caused me to breath a bit better. I am at the point where I am no longer using nicotine and it is just an oral fixation. How does everyone feel about Vaping? Do you look at it as just smoking? Gross? Progress? I just want to hear everyone's thoughts. And trust me you won't hurt my feelings as I have heard it all in the past 3 plus years since I started.

This has been a big episode in my home. My Son has attempted it twice and twice it met my sledgehammer. Over reaction?

True he is growing up. Even at 18 I have told him college, 9-11 GI Bill, is a privilege not to be trifled with.

I like the fact that they help many quit smoking. As a former cop, that little voice in the back of my head screams "they're smoking the reefer outta them!!!" I usually just laugh at it.
I'm all for it if it helps get away from smoking, the chemicals contained in cigarettes (not just the nicotine) are really just bad. And you're so right about the smell!
