Very true. The narrower the focus on the targeted scam, the more likely someone will believe it. Scammers targeting large groups will have a low rate of success, but when it can be tailored with expectations of the target audience - then the rate of success goes up.
Unfortunately everyone has to have a high degree of skepticism for almost everything anymore.
