SGT John " Mac " McConnell That was a nice movie of the troops setting up their CP. My Apple TV allowed me to view it on the big screen TV.

The commo wire was rolling off a Jeep Mounted RL-31 (?). I found one on the ‘net’.

I found it interesting that the fellow on the telephone pole was not wearing gauntlet gloves whereas the fellow pulling the wire to the house did have gloves. I was always leery of splinters when climbing poles. Could you see any of those Soldiers wearing Boots with 2 Buckles like mine?

No . I think all the boots were all issued from boot camp CSM Charles Hayden I am sure whatever fits would be just fine into moving soldiers to the front.
Wearing gauntlets is a plus to keep creosote off the forearms. Did you ever hitch hike up and down the pole ?
