That was just on the Military channel talking about how it started and Patton fighting it until a medical report was read to him about how a soldier most likely was choaked to death by the strap after an artillery attack.

That’s what I wore from 1956 to the end of Vietnam - hadn’t changed since WWII and Korea. I have to admit that I felt a lot safer with the Kevlar after I re-enlisted Infantry at age 47. You can see my Kevlar in my profile photo.
