Makes them feel like something is being done however- the reality is not the same

There is no way that the system will work unless there is a registry. They know that, and they will push for that BEFORE they say the system is broken, and with that and the Red Flag laws, they will be able to confiscate all LAW ABIDING gun owners weapons. Of course, crime will go way up because the law breakers will not follow the law, and they can kill with ease because they are fighting a disarmed populace.
