I got to walk that battlefield with an Army historian...well worth the visit

MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. - it's amazing how much information you get on those tours and a real appreciation of what it had to be like for the soldiers.

Fredericksburg left such a mark on the Federal troops that after Pickett's charge was repulsed, the Federal troops were yelling "Fredericksburg" at the Confederates.
