To open the schools back up, in a safe manner, will require a lot of planning and reworking of the school infrastructures. Classroom sizes will need to be smaller, meaning other classrooms will need to be constructed, or other buildings already on campus will need to be converted to classrooms. This will require the hiring of additional teachers, to staff the new classrooms. Protective measures will need to be implemented.....and staff will need to be trained in them. There may be parents unwilling to send their children back to school this soon.....what accommodations need to be set up for them? Opening up the schools is not a "snap of the fingers" sort of proposition. Responsible school districts, will take whatever time is needed to ensure it's done safely, or they won't open them at all. Any pressure from the White House will not, and should not, have any impact on the local decisions.

Yes by taking away education money. We will see if that will stand up in court again since congress allocates money not the WH.
