Incredible story and a man who refused to play the victim. He wouldn't recognize or approve of much of the behavior of today's young people.

This is my favorite picture of Jackie. He was with the Montreal Royals in 1946 and he had just hit a home run. The player shaking his hand was George Shuba.
Shuba's son said this was the only baseball memorabilia his dad had displayed in his house

Shuba was a guy who never really caught on in the Show, but had several good seasons in Brooklyn and LA as a backup who could play several positions and hit with moderate power.
