LTC John Mohor I was stationed with 1/7th infantry in Germany. I think there are only the 2/7th and 3/7th . 1/7th was disbanded. I plan on going back to fort Benning and fort Stewart in the future. I want to get my old army buddies together and go.

I am reading a book about this right now. I never was a big student of WWI until recent years. I was surprised to see that so late in the War, the Germans were able to mount such a significant offensive. It was not like WWII where we did force unconditional surrender. That ended up being part of Hitler's argument to the German people that while they were never defeated militarily, the were forced to sign the Versailles Treaty. If you have the chance, I recommend you go to the National WWI museum in Kansas City. Thanks for sharing.
