Back in 2005 we lost a great comedian.
Richard Franklin Lennox Thomas Pryor (December 1, 1940 – December 10, 2005) was an American stand-up comedian, actor, and social critic. Pryor was known for uncompromising examinations of racism and topical contemporary issues, which employed colorful vulgarities and profanity, as well as racial epithets. He reached a broad audience with his trenchant observations and storytelling style. He is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential stand-up comedians of all time.

I grew up believing that Santa Claus was an alcoholic. Come Christmas every year, the department stores would grab some wino from the alleys behind their establishments and put the red suit on them. When I sat in their lap and he asked "What do you want for Christmas little boy?" I was prepared to respond, "How about a breath of fresh air?"
