Well, the real Moby Dick truly was so much worse than the sanitized, though dramatic, fictional account. It was interesting learning more about whaling . . . until the gruesome part, unfortunately also about whaling. Perhaps it was not the only whaling crew to have ended their voyage in that way. We know of ancient seafaring voyages across the oceans, long before Columbus, via the Pacific and the Atlantic. Those are the ones that succeeded, clearly understood to not be fleets of ships. No telling how many started out on voyages and did nor live to tell the tale..
