The leader of the Proud Boys says he is “not ashamed” of burning a Washington DC church’s Black Lives Matter sign.
The right wing group’s chairman Enrique Tarrio says he was responsible for setting the banner on fire after a MAGA rally in the city last weekend.
The disturbing incident is being investigated as a potential hate crime and a religious leader has compared it to “cross burnings.”
The BLM sign was taken from the Asbury United Methodist Church, one of the oldest Black churches in Washington DC, during a night of violence after the pro-Trump rally.

So I'm curious, CTO1. Is all the burning and destruction perpetrated by BLM also a hate crime? Or is their violence and lawlessness excused because they purport to represent the currently-favored skin color?

There is zero evidence any "burning and destruction" was perpetrated by BLM. None. Most of the burning and destruction was conducted by others, taking advantage of the BLM protest movements. Most of those protests were peaceful. It is suspected some to the violence was actually caused by right-wing leaning individuals, such as the mysterious man with the umbrella.

Let me say this. Regardless of what side of the fence you are on stealing private property and destroying it is wrong and a crime.
Stealing Church property and destroying it is not only a crime but desecration of the church the property was stolen from and destroyed. A crime for sure but also a grave Sin and double jeopardy is not attached. This fool gets to pay for this crime in this life and the afterlife.
