What I'm getting from this is I'll be able to retrain from corpsman to 11b right? As an e4 with almost 8 years in (June 25th being 8 years.) Would that be an accurate interpretation of this? "(1) Grades E-1 thru E-4 - all Army MOSs are eligible for enlistment with the exception of the following: 09L, 12W, 13T, 15J, 89D, 92S, 94Y, or 35P (with language code HE, PG, SC, TH, or UR)."

My first thought is you are active duty for 8 years and are still a E-4 that alone would disqualify you for retainment.

These business rules were the bane of my existence. If you get out as an E5 or above it is increasingly difficult to get back in. I ended up joining the reserves and getting AGR. That was my work around. There's always a way if you're willing to work for it, wait and work outside your comfort zone for a bit.

If you are still in the IRR you would need to get a conditional release. That's really going to be your biggest issue but you should be able to do it. Also if you have ever been seen for any big medical issues Meps is going to see it.

PO2 Jared Warren - Why not go Navy Reserves, and then possibly back to AD?
