MAY 25, 2021 SMOOTH JAZZ SONG SHARE OF THE DAY
Nataly’s Corner taking you back into the #Hardcastlezone to revisit a tune from musician and producer Paul Hardcastle’s most successful project described by jazz critics as a cornucopia collection of smooth and contemporary jazz grooves. We come to know it as Jazzmasters and jazz listeners have been mesmerized by its tasty flavors since the first Volume was introduced in the early 90s. This 4th volume of Jazzmasters was officially released in the U.S. in 2003 under the Trippin N' Rhythm label. Like its predecessor Volumes, it has songs with the soft and sultry vocals of singer Helen Roger. I love all of Paul Hardcastle’s music so, I admit, I might sound biased with my thoughts on his music, but if there is any part of his music that I would change…it would be the duration of the tracks because the best ones released in earlier albums seem to be short. Such is the case with Quiet Groove, its only 3:36 in duration. Ask any Hardcastle music fan and they’ll tell you, when it comes to Paul’s music, more is definitely in demand. The good news is he’s meeting that demand and you can tell by some of the beautiful songs he has recorded/released just within the past 7 years if you’ve followed his music. The Jazzmasters Series currently has 7 Volumes. No one knows if we’ll see Jazzmasters 8/VIII. The good news, however, is that as of this writing, the Hardcastle X album is in the works. In today’s challenging environment, we can be blessed and satisfied that Paul Hardcastle is still producing music for us.
