Outrage at Kimmel comments on Melania surges as protest petition exceeds 50K signatures

The First Family should be excluded from any criticism when it comes to accents or ethnic background. The media already demonstrated a double standard, a couple years back ,when First Lady Michelle Obama read a Dr. Seuss story, yet when First Lady Trump did this, they were saying that she was wrong to do this and that the Dr. Seuss story was racist!!

My mother is from small Central American country of Honduras. Yet, she hung around co-workers who had emigrated from Hungary. They had fled during the Hungarian Revolt of 1956. She somehow acquired a combination of a Hungarian and Spanish accents. She would say' really?' with the r- r- r- r- e -a -lly?? The rolling of the Romeo's. She would say' s o m e -s i n g' instead of 'something' since the 'th' was foreign to her vocabulary. Her Spanish accent was very heavy. It did not bother me. She had a Master's Degree in social work and she had studied in Puerto Rico, Chile and Argentina before coming to the United States legally in 1959. Even with her heavy accent, she ended up working her way up to an executive director of a large United Way agency in Los Angeles by the mid-1970s. Her accent did not stop her and she overcame any discrimination because of her excellent reputation and hard work ethic.

So I can totally understand how unfair Jimmy Kimmel was to Mrs. Trump. Yes, I hope Procter & Gamble and other advertisers leave his show. I've actually like Jimmy Kimmel all these years but I think he needs to tighten up the shot group and only mock political figures from all political partys and stay away from the First Family.
