Progressives are happy to kill the economy. At least, that's how it appears to me.

Let me make two statements. In a good economy, no one works for minimum wage and the Federal Minimum Wage has been a joke for years. I don't live in a high cost of living state, but getting someone to actually show up for less than $12 or $13 an hour, or higher, is difficult.
The wage difference between the productive side of the economy, someone that produces or services the product that keeps the country running, and the financial class is obscenely one sided. That change started back as far as Reagan, cemented by Clinton and supported by every administration since (since Trump was hammered by both sides, I'll cut him a bit of slack). The top of the economy is so leveraged and the value so inflated, it sucks all those dollars that would have traditionally gone to wages into a unproductive financial class.
