LRRP Rangers Mission in Vietnam Jungle

I am paying my respects to the Vietnam Soldiers, whom paid the price for our freedom with all they had.
Super 8 movies from field missions of the LRRPs of K Company, 75th Infantry early in 1970. There are two field missions on this video. The first is a standard LRRP four man team, Romeo 18. I was the assistant team leader. Gary Heald, Billy Powers, and Mark Estopare were my teammates.
The second mission is a double LRRP team sent to the site where three LRRPS were KIA a week or two earlier. The lone survivor of that team was Sgt Jim Doss who was KIA a few months later.
Both missions would be peaceful and uneventful. You didn't expect me to be taking home movies with bullets flying, did you? In fact,, there is a definite mood swing toward frivolity as the second mission winds down and the birds are in the air.
I have written several short stories based on my Viet Nam experience and combined them in a book called "Prowl". Check it out at https://www.createspace.com/3717329

Thanks for mentioning and honoring the men of K Company, 75th Infantry SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. Thanks also for sharing the uneventful Super 8 video.
It is no mere coincidence that the Ranger Regiment is the 75th Ranger Regiment. Rangers fought in WWII as companies at Point du Hoc and other less famous places and as companies of LRRP teams in Vietnam. Kudos to the silent warriors.

I thought I saw a pic of me in that movie SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL but I didn't get over there until 1971! :-)

SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL - Yes, you're just a young whipper snapper Joe! In 70 I was up near the DMZ in Korea, a place I knew nothing about until I got orders there. Was 17 then!
