I've collected all the Primary weapons of the US soldiers from the 20th century ... I have not seen too many Kraig's 1892-1899, in decent quality and condition But otherwise I have 100 years of US battle rifles... or their civilian versions...

The 30-06, 308, etc might be the same bullet, but the casing behind each bullet is very different especially in terms of length. A 308 Win cartridge measures at 7.62x51 but the 30-06 cartridge comes in at 7.62x63. The bullet can still be a 150-grain FMJ for both cartridges, but the length difference is why you don't shoot 7.62 NATO ammo out of a Garand and unless it's one of the rarer kind that was chambered specifically for 7.62 NATO.

No arguments there, just pointing out the bullet is the same diameter.

Good post CW3 Kevin Storm. I guess I'm biased, but I'll take the '03 over the Mk 3.

While you are reloading is when you are in a bad place to be as the Enfield is still firing.

CW3 Kevin Storm - LOL I never said I'd trade shot for shot! Although a skilled operator could best the Enfield shooter with the '03A3!
