Thanks Maj Marty Hogan for reminding us that today is the 75th anniversary of the birth of American prosecution lawyer, former Manhattan family court judge, television personality, television producer, and author Judith Susan "Judy" Sheindlin who is more well known as Judge Judy.
Happy Birthday Judge Judy!
To be honest I have never had any desire to watch Judge Judy.

Thanks for sharing this tidbit. I have never understood why people like her shoe. The channel I catch my evening world news on televises her show immediately prior and so I catch the last minute or so of her show occasionally. If people acted according to their word her services would not be needed.

Happy 75th Judge Judy; we have grown up enjoying your courtroom drama - it has been addictive. I know watch an identical show in India called 'Aadalat'; 'Dial 1-0-0' and; 'Crime Patrol'. There is also 'Aap ki Aadalat', which is the 'People's Court' equivalent. Definitely; I am addicted.

'Aadalat' in Hindi means Court and it's about an attorney who takes on cases of inmates and poor families that cannot afford legal fees, and have almost no scope of victory. Strangely enough, this attorney wins singlehandedly every time. He tears into investigations and medical reports like no other, and always finds the missing link in the account presented by the prosecution, using the preponderance of the evidence. It is once of the best legal dramas of today; a Bollywood bonanza.

'Aap ki Aadalat', in Hindi, means the People's Court. It is where a news anchor digs into big personalities on the tough questions that many are unwilling to answer, but which the Public has a right to know, since such personalities are in the limelight. This is also good, but lacks that special touch.
