Thanks Maj Marty Hogan for letting us know that January 12 is the anniversary of the birth of American professional boxer who competed from 1965 to 1981 Joseph William Frazier nicknamed "Smokin' Joe."

Frazier then went on to become the undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World by defeating Muhammad Ali in "The Fight of the Century" in Madison Square Garden, on March 8th, 1971.
