I am thinking it would be great if newspapers had to post a score box on their mast head about the number of times they had to rewrite a stories.

It'd be interesting to have a list of every news/opinion outlet showing how many times (and what) they've had to retract or correct their reporting.

Technically prisoners are citizens too, so if the checks went to every citizen why wouldn't prisoners get one. I get the point but which crimes should keep one citizen from getting a check and not another?

Lt Col Charlie Brown Newspapers print corrections and redactions all the time, pure politics makes this noteworthy but not newsworthy.
