By the way this is just my opinion ! I hope I don't rub anyone the wrong way ! If I do, well ! Get over it !
There is nothing in comparison today to this generation of wow " Look at me ! " Is it me ? Or am I the only one here that don't go out of there way to risk health , safety ,and death to get that perfect selfie ? If you do take selfies at least beware of your surrounding's before attempting it. Or, even a better idea ! Don't be so self absorbed and let some one take the picture for you. In other words ! Don't do anything stupid ! Now for another addition of an obscure National day.
NATIONAL SELFIE DAY
Thanks to social media and the smartphone, June 21st recognizes a form of self-portrait that couldn’t exist without them. It’s National Selfie Day !
On National Selfie Day, we are encouraged to take creative (appropriate) selfies and share them on social media.
While the act of taking a selfie may predate social media, smartphones and the word which is now in the Oxford dictionary, the popularity of taking these self-portraits and the ability to do so has never been easier. Selfie sticks and multi-functional camera phones make it all too easy to take these kinds of photographs as well as group selfies (aka groupies).

The Japanese and Chinese love to do selfies at our national parks. They put themselves in some pretty precarious positions doing so.

There are unfortunately deaths at the Grand Canyon every year. It’s called aggressive photography, people actually take the joking “one step back”, and then they’re gone. I almost lost an ex-step-grandson when he darted for the edge. He’s not a sharp kid at all, I had to hold his 9-year-old hand the rest of the hike.
