Thank you, my friend Sgt (Join to see) for posting the news about the Marsquake with an understandably out of this word sound :-)
Most likely, Mars has experienced Marsquakes in the past in the vicinity of fault-lines between the tectonic plates of Mars. Without significant structures or bodies of water it is more challenging to observe. Of course volcanoes would help identify regional activity on our neighboring planet :-)

Thank you for the outstanding graphic of the Valles Marineris LTC Stephen F.. Our "Insight" mission probe is actively doing its job! There have been questions as to whether Mars does, indeed, have tectonic plates like those of Earth... This probe, "Insight" hopefully will give us better data to understand the underpinnings of Planet Mars...
