The Ammendment is fine, the problem is its used to defend idiots.

The Amendment is fine, the Law worked exactly as it should in this case and should have been used in most of the school shooting in the past.
Unless the person involved has illegally obtained the weapon the owner should be charged with at minimum aiding and abetting the crime.
Had this happened more often in the past and been more publicized in the past IMHO it would have deterred some of those those allowing their children to obtain their weapon and commit a crime with it.

Proper education to your children and maintaining good safety measures with your weapons. A lot of todays children are not disciplined by parents and are not trained to handle adversity. They have too much freedom with no rules to follow. My children were brought up and trained to handle adversity as they trained my grandchildren the same.
