Dealing with bureaucracies reminds me of the story of B'rer Rabbit and the Tar Baby. The harder you fight it, the more you become trapped in it. I know. I worked as a bureaucrat before I enlisted in the Army. Sadly, after serving, I saw corporations becoming like bureaucracies. Ultimately, I worked as a self employed contractor so that I could accomplish tasks without becoming enmeshed in the SOP's of corporate life. It always amazed me how corporations paid me more than they paid their own employees to fix problems that their employees couldn't. Not because their employees were less competent than I, but rather because I didn't have to deal with the extraneous details of employment in their bureaucratic morass.

That’s one way to support Our 2nd Amendment Rights!
At least the President wants Military to be able to defend themselves and others at all times!
If you are a Soldier 24/7, then you Should be prepared 24/7!

Oh, what a tangled-web of policies they weave! The ability for our Warriors AND our Veterans to be able to protect themselves on government-property has to begin with striking "Gun-free-zone" from all regulations.
When I go to O-VAMC, I am effectively-disarmed from the time I leave my house until I get back home, because, even though I am a CCW license-folder, and can legally carry a concealed weapon in public, that weapon isn't allowed on O-VAMC property - PERIOD, even if it is in my console or glove-box. While the likelihood of my vehicle getting searched is slim, being caught with a weapon could result in some fairly-serious consequences. I am stripped of my 2nd Amendment rights for the duration of that trip.
