Cruz blasts 'immoral' proposal to register women for draft

I'm all for equality in all it's forms. I see no real negative for having women register for the draft. It's not like it's ever going to be used, so it's more a formality than anything else. But to Cruz, it's the worst thing since....figuring out he's holding dual citizenship....last year. But it's this quote that got me "Cruz continued, “I’m the father of two little girls. I love those girls with all of my heart. They are capable of doing anything in their heart’s desire, but the idea that their government would forcibly put them in a foxhole with a 220-pound psychopath trying to kill them doesn’t make any sense at all.” I guess when you have no military experience, you wouldn't know that if she's in a foxhole with someone, 99.999% of the time, it's with your battle, and that 220lb cretin is there to keep you alive the same way she is to him. BTW Ted....we don't use foxholes that much if at all. Also what I got out of this is "your kid can go do what needs to be done. Mine won't be there". Party favorites and affiliation aside, is this what we really need in office? This reeks of eliteism and I thought we as a country were "tired" of that or are we really blowing smoke?
