No matter what the circumstances of public or private schools in the country, I have always believed that education begins in the home. Some students thrive and some don’t in school because of the home and family structure.

That's Questionable. When I Was Working In The Schools, Parents Brought In Their Kids For Enrollment. When They Were Asked Relatively Easy Questions, You'd Be Surprised At What They Didn't Know. And There Were Many Instances Where The Parents Couldn't Even Help Their Kid With The Homework; And I'm Talking Kids In The 6th - 8th Grades....

Keep us posted, Education should be for us all, not just Straight "A" students,If you would teach those who went wrong in life too,And they wanted to change for the better,Give then that chance,Bad enough, we can allow other Co to come here and give them millions to restart, education,But see our countrymen/women in jail, and turn our backs on them

I applaud those who get to go to the "Selective Admission" schools but all the rest are getting at least a basic education. I've read that many inner city school children cannot read at even a 6th grade level even though they have graduated High School.

SPC Lyle Montgomery I certainly agree with you, although I have a College degree I only worked in tat profession a short period of time. I found I couldn't play their BS games so went to work for a school district fixing computers. Great job, ended up with a real nice pension from them.

Although I Made A Good Income, I'd Rather Had Made Less If I Didn't Look Forward To Working In My Given Career..... I Actually Had Fun & Looked Forwards To Mondays So I Could Return To The Office... All I'm Actually Asking Is; "Would You Have Preferred Employment In Any Other Position"?

A1C Medrick "Rick" DeVaney - I Tried to be a auto body repairman for 6 years and was good at it but I got to hate it. A few of my friends helped me get into the Millwrights and I loved it. I'm a gearhead at heart and I don't mean a chevy shadetrade mechanic. I love wirking with turbines, generators, conveyors etc. One job would be in a power plant neuclear, coal or nat. gas. The next would be in a car manufacturing plant installing conveyors or in a food processing plant installing extruders or a telephone wire manufacturing plant so there was a lot of variety. I was certified in welding, Hi torque, neuclear, rigging and more. The politics in the union sucked but the work was great. I retired because its a young mans game and hard on the body, but I would do it all over again.
