Thanks for letting us know Maj Marty Hogan that December 16 is the anniversary of the birth of American musician, singer, songwriter, producer, and actor William Frederick Gibbons best known as the guitarist and lead vocalist of the American rock band ZZ Top.
I well-remember buying a cassette of Tres Hombres which I wore out. :-)
Texas rock and roll with a hint of blues and tex mex
Happy birthday William Frederick Gibbons with many happy returns!
Here is Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers (2006 Remastered Version) from Tres Hombres.

He's gone too far in the other direction. His controller use is obnoxious. I realize his classic guitars are too rare to take on the road, but what? He can't afford a copy of his guitar? His controllers are weak and in need of a remake. They're good, but they sound too sterile. Its like I'm listening to a demo or commercial. Even Keith Richards uses copies. Most rock stars do. I wish he'd go back to using a real guitar.
