4.6% Pay raise is a good thing, despite the inflation rate of 7.1%. The DoD will make up for it with BAH, COLA, BAS and other allowances to offset the rising inflation. Just looked at the pay chart for 2023. HOLY COW, military members are making a TON! Look for my next post.

A 'ton?' Can't keep up with inflation. Military families on food stamps and other public assistance. It's a disgrace. The Uniparty is responsible. Retention much? A career in the WOKE military today has never been more unattractive.

MAJ Montgomery Granger Bas as of 2023 will be $452 for enlisted and 311 for officers I believe. Honestly between being given BAS increases, BAH increases plus the regular salary for an active member, I'd go tell the spouse to get a job before I apply for snap benefits. People are stupid and live above their means. Inflation is coming down in my area for most consumables. It's not what is was pre covid, but it's coming down. CPO is right. The increases are going to help. If people can't budget well then they need to help up your boy Dave Ramsey. I'm sure he'll guide them.
