I agree. The problem is that many people spread these illnesses during a time when they feel completely healthy, either during the incubation period (before symptoms appear) or after that (when they are asymptomatic). The longer the incubation period, the worse it will be. I'm not sure what we can do about the latter, aside from testing everyone.
