Interesting article, however I've sworn off all sports until they wake up, and stand up for the flag of our Nation, period.

I am calling for a permanent BOYCOTT OF THE NFL AND PERMANENT BOYCOTT THE GREEN BAY PACKERS! In Particular Boycott their Quarterback Aaron Rogers, who had a chance to Stop this unpatriotic and traitors organization that worships money in its tracks and did NOT!
Furthermore: As a Veteran, I buried 3 of my Best Friends in Two Weeks.
I am Done Forever with the NFL!
I don't give a Damn What their Commissioner "tells them" or Whose Locker room they hide in, Nor do I care to have the ESPN Sports Giant just ignore the Anthem by not respecting it enough to show it!
NONE OF THEM HAVE THE HEART TO BE RESPECTED BY ANY VETERAN!
I will continue to BOYCOTT the NFL until they put ME in the Ground and if it were possible even AFTER THAT! Please support our Veterans!

Thank you my friend MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. for posting the perspective from powerlineblog.com contributing author Paul Mirengoff on focused on the basketball program DeMatha Catholic High School.
'Mike Jones, a Black, has coached DeMatha’s basketball team for the past 19 years. In May, he abruptly announced he was leaving to become an assistant coach at Virginia Tech.
Two days later, DeMatha named Pete Strickland as its interim basketball coach. He will be in charge next season.
Strickland is White. He is also the obvious choice to fill in.
Strickland played at DeMatha and was an assistant coach at the school under the legendary Morgan Wooten. He then played point guard for Pitt.
Strickland’s college coaching career includes more than half a decade as head coach at Coastal Carolina. He also coached Ireland’s national basketball team from 2016 to 2018. Most recently, he served as athletic director at St. John’s Catholic Prep in Maryland.
Strickland’s DeMatha roots are so deep that he recruited Mike Jones, the departing coach, to play at the school. Then, as an assistant coach at Old Dominion University, he recruited and coached Jones again."

Kudos to Mike Jones and Pete Strickland .
Unsurprising that some folks are focusing on race in Washington, D.C.

Why did Mike Jones leave DeMatha Catholic for Virginia Tech? Stories from USA Basketball
Mike Jones has coached at DeMatha for 19 years, and has accumulated over 511 wins, and 8 WCAC championships and has coached countless professional athletes. So why leave one of the most prestigious high school jobs in the country to be a D1 assistant coach

Powerful piece and I give all the credit in the world to Coach Mike Jones for selecting Strickland based upon his personal unbiased criterion. My hat is off to an individual who stands by his principles!

LTC Stephen F. Maybe he was fed up with racism, maybe he wanted a change, maybe he was given a monster contract, but WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE? He is an individual with a right to choose his own destiny, so is that a reason he should be critiqued? Way to go Coach Mike, you are a man among men!
