The NASA "Warp Drive": Science or Fiction?
A video report on Dr. Harold White's warp drive currently in development by Eagleworks Labs out of NASA's Johnson Space Center. Full disclosure: I am an astr...
In my view, this is not a practical solution to propel a spacecraft near, at, or faster than light speed... Anything slower will not gain merit and is a waste of time, energy, and money! The Key is really a system whereby "SpaceTime" is warped and a craft sort of rides a spacetime wave that in itself can travel faster than the speed of light... Preliminary tests have taken place that shows high levels of promise. I have provided one link, which delineates the detail of a Warp Drive Propulsion.

Capt Daniel Goodman
I'm very well.aware of it, honest..I've merely followed the ither, as the same group has done research on both...if you'd ever care to chat further on the topic, I've had numerous very serious thoughts on the whole topic from a mathematical physics standpoint...as I'd sent in on this thread as well, the Fermi probe found positron emission from terrestrial gamma flashes (TGFs), that I've given serious thought, due to an aircraft having also flown through positron clouds from Univ of New Hampshire a cpl of yrs ago, could, in fact, actually distort Minkowski spacetime measurably, which was shown by Gravity Probe B, the A probe proved the geodetic time dilation effect, B showed some proof of inertial frame dragging, though not to the 1% error bound NASA has wanted...Space.Warp Dynamics LLC, http://www.spaceworpdynamicsllc.com, has been researching that whole positron conceot, modeling thunderstorm triple activity using a dual paneled fractal antenna array, with some apparent thrust measurement, their work is quite serious, and based on an incident involving a pilot flying through a thunderstorm in the Caribbean, Bruce Gernon, who fortuitously had the fuel sheets for the before and after of his flight to back up his fuel usage...there was also an article on Arxiv about similar incidents of localized spacetime warp bubble effects in the South Pacific, if you want the paper, I can send it, I found it totally apart from the other work by the space.Warp group, which is private, not NASA...look up.also Prof Ronald Hallett at UCONN in CT, and his theory of using a ring laser gyro to send information, not matter, back in time, his research has also engendered considerable serious debate, based on the van Stockum and Lanczos General relativity so called dust solutions for inertial frame dragging, I'd be most eager to know what you think, or for further discussion, many thanks....

Capt Daniel Goodman Thank you for that detailed explanation... The entire subject of space travel at light speed or greater excites me... The proof will be in the pudding so-to-speak. We are at the cusp of a tremendous scientific break through, in my opinion, Dan. At 76, I'm not sure I'll be around to see it become reality. The enormous distances associated with space travel does demand a minimum of light speed propulsion with faster than light speed highly desired... I do like the way you think, Dan, on this topic... Have a great evening!
