Not so unusual. My sister got a Masters to teach 5 year olds.

Interesting article. Yes, the mother has the right to insist the firearm is not where the kids have access. When I have my grandkids, my firearm is on me or locked in my handgun safe. I have taught them if they find a gun lying around not to touch but let an adult know. Hopefully, when they are a bit older, I will teach them firearms safety and how to shoot. My daughter-in-law does not particularly like guns.

It used to be common sense that guns were not left open to access by children.
Now it takes a master's degree??? The failure of public education.
