IMO, all the services have this issue. And it sets a very poor example for the troops. It becomes RHIP (rank has its problems and privileges) instead of lead by example

Double standards and corruption are sadly too common in many places.

I’d like to agree, but the caste system prevails in every aspect of our society. What differs is the level of accountability when someone is disciplined.
