Acromegaly is certainly a condition that’s been around for awhile but it’s rare with alot of unfortunate side effects that go along with it incl. weakness in arms/legs, limited joint mobility, degenerative arthritis, etc. (https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/acromegaly ). The tallest man ever seems to be Robert Wadlow at 8’11”.
However, I believe most ancient skeletons that are discovered are not of the Acromegaly condition but part of a race of giants as mentioned in various mythological accounts and in the Bible ( ie. the Nephilim, Gen 6:1-4 and Numbers 13, Goliath (and his family) 1Samuel 17:4 / 1 Chron 20:4-8, King Og Deut 3:11, etc). These ancient giants had communities and were strong, warlike, healthy.

Acromegaly is abnormal growth that occurs when an adult's pituitary gland makes too much growth hormone. The abnormal growth starts in your hands and feet, as soft tissue begins to swell. This rare disease affects mostly middle-aged people.

MSgt Dale Johnson - There seem to have been many incidents in the past, in America, where giant bones were found in various areas, even on farmland property. But there’s no such skeletons on display anywhere (that I know). What was done with these skeletons and why?
